Kristina is a qualified Naturopath and fully accredited member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society.
Kristina has a background in mainstream medicine from her time living in Europe. She started out by volunteering as a nursing assistant during the summer holidays at high school and then went on to study medicine and complete her PhD at the Albert Einstein University in Ulm.
She first discovered her passion for herbal medicine when she worked closely with the midwives in a small rural hospital in the Swiss Alps. She realised that combining the latest medical research with traditional healing wisdom results in a more ‘gentle medicine’ that is both effective and more satisfactory for her patients.
When it was time to start a family of her own, Kristina decided to take a break from hospital shift work and joined a medical publisher as editor and technical translator. She married the man of her dreams and was blessed with two beautiful children. The demands of motherhood made her aware of the importance of good nutrition and sparked a new interest in pursuing further study.
After returning to Australia, Kristina decided to follow her heart and study for an Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy at Nature Care College in St Leonards. As a naturopath, she enjoys serving the local community at Manly Health Foods, consulting in private practice, and has recently started dabbling in formulating her own skincare range.
Kristina believes the foundation of health is a nourishing wholefoods diet, and simple lifestyle changes often make a huge difference too. She says we are very lucky to have access to such high-quality nutritional supplements and herbal medicines when some extra support is needed.
Kristina loves working with all kinds of people and conditions, as well as having a special interest in thyroid and metabolic disorders. Helping our customers stay healthy is what truly lights her up!
